Trial Privacy Policy

When you request trial access, we collect:

  • Organization (optional) — to understand our trial users
  • IP address — for security and anti-abuse purposes

  • To provide and manage your trial access
  • To send you trial-related communications (verification, credentials, expiry notices)
  • To prevent abuse and ensure fair access to trials
  • To improve our trial experience and products

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information based on:

  • Consent — which you provide when you agree to these terms and request trial access
  • Legitimate interests — to prevent abuse, ensure security, and improve our services

4. Data Retention

  • Trial credentials are deleted automatically when your trial expires
  • Any content you create during the trial may be deleted upon expiry
  • Your email and request records are retained for 90 days for audit purposes
  • Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely

5. Data Location and Transfers

All trial data is stored and processed exclusively in Canadian data centers. We do not transfer your data outside of Canada. Northern Health Innovations Inc. is committed to Canadian data sovereignty.

Canada has been recognized by the European Commission and the UK as providing an adequate level of data protection, and maintains comparable standards to Australia and New Zealand privacy frameworks.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the security of our systems and users

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

8. Security

We protect your data using encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security monitoring. Trial systems are isolated from production environments.

9. For Users in the European Union and United Kingdom

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR. Your data is stored in Canada, which has been recognized by the European Commission and the UK as providing adequate data protection. Our legal basis for processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. For Users in Australia and New Zealand

If you are located in Australia or New Zealand, you have rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (including the Australian Privacy Principles) or the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Your data is stored in Canada, which maintains privacy standards comparable to your jurisdiction. By consenting to this trial, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your data to Canada for processing.
